When a company or organisation is deciding on a new content management system and selecting a suitable integration partner, the questions of how best to migrate existing content, features and processes and at what cost are playing an ever more important role. The amount of data and content is constantly increasing, as is the complexity of the structures. As a result, the need for reliable migration is increasing, too.

The transfer of content from older systems that have evolved over time into new content and technological portal structures presents customers and integration service providers with very specific challenges.

Along with the costly development of individual tools, migrations are often performed manually using the “Copy & Paste” method. Both the time required for this as well as the training of employees necessary are often underestimated. Since this type of migration is often prone to errors, the cost and effort required for subsequent quality assurance and data maintenance is higher. In addition, manual migration is very time-consuming and sometimes requires long-winded parallel operation and double content maintenance.
